One conversation, every department: how AskTiger and TigerTMS's integrated platform are reshaping hotel operations
Hotel AI is everywhere in 2026, but most of it can only talk. TigerTMS is betting that the real value lies in AI that can act.
01The call that never goes unanswered
Hotel AI is everywhere in 2026, but most of it can only talk. TigerTMS is betting that the real value lies in AI that can act: quote a live rate, book the room, post the charge, log the fault and route it to the right team, all inside the same conversation.
That bet rests on more than four decades of hospitality engineering. Founded in Ringwood, Hampshire, in the 1980s, TigerTMS has been connecting the systems behind the stay ever since. Its iLink middleware is now deployed in more than 10,000 hotels worldwide, from 40-room independents to flagships with more than 2,000 rooms, as well as on cruise ships and ocean liners.
The pressures on those properties are familiar. Staffing is tight, phones ring at all hours, guests expect instant answers in their own language, and every department runs on a different system. When those systems don't talk, calls go to voicemail, requests slip through the cracks and revenue walks out the door.
Hotels don't have a technology shortage. They have a connection shortage. The guest sees one hotel, but behind the scenes there are a dozen systems that were never designed to work together.
02AskTiger: one suite, from first ring to final review
AskTiger began as an AI call agent and has grown into a full hospitality AI engagement suite.
The voice agent is the flagship. It never puts a caller on hold and escalates to a live colleague when a conversation needs a human touch.
The phone is still where many of the highest-value conversations happen, and it's where hotels lose the most when nobody picks up. AskTiger makes sure every one of those calls becomes an opportunity rather than a missed one.
03Most hotel AI can talk. AskTiger can act.
The difference between AskTiger and a standalone AI vendor is what sits underneath it. iLink, the widely deployed hospitality middleware, connects AskTiger to more than 275 certified interfaces across system categories such as PMS, PBX, guest Wi-Fi, IPTV, room controls, housekeeping and guest-service platforms.
That covers the systems hotels already run, such as OPERA Cloud (via OHIP), Mews, Guestline Rezlynx, Stayntouch, DesignMyNight, OpenTable, ResDiary and TableCheck. Because the integrations already exist, AskTiger can check live availability and rates, create reservations directly in the PMS, recognise in-house guests and hand tickets to the tools each department already uses.
Around AskTiger sits the wider TigerTMS platform, with each product feeding the same connected view:
- innLineVoice messaging and wake-up calls, trusted by hotels for decades and now extended by AskTiger's AI voice.
- iPortalA QR-code digital guest compendium in multiple languages, with F&B order-and-pay and request tracking.
- iReadyRoomsHousekeeping, maintenance and AI-powered lost and found, feeding straight into the AskTiger Service Dashboard.
- iCharge Enterprise and iAlertCall accounting and emergency call alerts.
An AI agent is only as useful as the systems it can reach. Forty years of building integrations means AskTiger arrives already connected to the hotel, rather than sitting on the side of it.
04A day on the integrated property
The value shows up in ordinary moments, when one conversation sets off work across several departments without a single phone call between them.
- Reservations line
A traveller in another time zone calls about next weekend. AskTiger answers on the first ring in their language, checks live availability through iLink, quotes the rate and books the stay straight into the PMS. A spa package goes on the reservation before the call ends.
- Room 412
A guest calls to say the TV won't turn on. AskTiger logs the fault, reassures the guest and routes a ticket to engineering through the Service Dashboard and iReadyRooms.
- Guest relations
A review request arrives at the right moment, and any negative sentiment is flagged to the guest relations team before it reaches a review site.
Guests don't care which system handles their request. They care that it's handled. Our job is to make every department feel like one team, even at three in the morning.
05Three reasons GMs say yes
TigerTMS frames the business case around three outcomes general managers can measure.
AskTiger answers 24/7, so fewer calls go unanswered and more enquiries become bookings. Every interaction is also a chance to offer restaurant, spa or late-checkout upsells.
Repetitive questions and peak call volumes move to AskTiger, which answers immediately with no queue and no voicemail backlog. Colleagues spend their time on the guests and problems that genuinely need a person, with AI-drafted replies ready for one-tap approval.
Intelligent escalation, reporting on unanswered questions and analytics on peak call times, sentiment, conversion and team performance give managers a clear picture of where service is working and where it isn't.
Because the suite is modular and sits on infrastructure many hotels already own, properties can start with the voice agent and add messaging, the agent builder or the Service Dashboard as their needs change.
06Where hotel AI goes next
TigerTMS expects the next phase of hotel AI to be defined less by how well an agent talks and more by what it can get done. Every call, message and request flowing through AskTiger becomes data: peak demand patterns, recurring faults, the questions guests ask most and the offers they accept.
Connected to the PMS and operational systems through iLink, that data can help hotels anticipate needs rather than react to them. Engineering can spot the room that keeps reporting the same issue, revenue teams can time special offers to when guests are most receptive, and managers can staff to the real shape of demand.
The principle has stayed the same since the company's inception: the technology has to earn its place in day-to-day operations.
We're not interested in AI for its own sake. We're interested in calls answered, rooms booked, requests closed and teams that go home less exhausted. That's what AskTiger and iLink are built to deliver.
